Enigmatic Anthropology: Ancient mysteries, artifacts and sources of power.

I have always felt drawn to mystery and have spent many hours pondering the unknown. I have had the chance to travel to many of the world’s wonders and historically mysterious places such as Stonehenge, Machu Pichu, Egyptian pyramids, etc. and have felt the aura of power those places hold over peoples’ imaginations. The feel of being insignificant in the face of something so ancient; thinking about how many past generations have held it in awe and the lost rituals and civilizations that once thrived there grounds me, yet inspires me to create. In this series, my goal was to accomplish a similar aura of mystery and power using found objects, paint, wood, metal, cement, and just about anything else I could get my hands on.
